sometimes when isla is napping i try to grab my camera and shoot things that catch my eye. little pretty things that make me happy.

an afternoon in the heights

we love living in the heights. the avocado trees, smell of citrus, horses trotting by on occasion, the country life in the city. we often walk to the end of our road to the barranca. the kids think it's a magical place. they think trolls and fairies live there. i think it's pretty magical too.

first birthday

happy 1st birthday beautiful isla rose. we are so lucky to have you in our lives. what a sweet and funny baby you are. we loved watching isla share this day with her cousins and great-grandmother. wishing i could keep her 1 forever.
